Membership and sales

The Isles of Scilly Museum is an independent charity, funded by ticket sales and donations. We shall make every effort to keep entrance fees at their present modest rate. Donations can make a huge difference to the continuation of our work and are used to purchase Scillonian artefacts or to improve Museum facilities. This enables us to keep as much as possible of the islands' heritage in the islands for the islanders. The very existence of the Isles of Scilly Museum is a tribute to the goodwill and enthusiasm of members of the local community. Its continuing survival depends on visitor numbers, so please make sure you call in when you are on St. Mary's.

The Museum desk is manned by volunteers and most of the odd jobs are undertaken voluntarily. This help is vital to the Museum's long-term survival. Please join us if you feel able to volunteer your time and local knowledge. There is a great need for both regular and occasional volunteers - everybody's help is greatly appreciated.
